Harry Gayagas
Harry Gayagas of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on June 10, 2019, at the age of 85.
Born on June 13, 1933 in Kapaa, he was a superintendant for Lihue Plantation and retired from Oahu Sugar.
He was preceded in death by parents Luciano and Juanita Gayagas, sons Harry Gayagas Jr. and Howard Gayagas, and brother Richard Gayagas.
He is survived by wife Sally Gayagas, son Boyd (Gaylene) Gayagas, daughter Jaye Gayagas-Youn, brothers Douglas Gayagas and Edwin (Norma) Gayagas, sister, Edna (Charles) Wooten, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 27, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa, with visitation at 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 9:45 a.m.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clayton Pihaleo Ah Tong Chow
Clayton Pihaleo Ah Tong Chow of Kapaa passed away on June 17, 2019, at the age of 61.
He was born in Lihue on Dec. 12, 2019, and was a CSM operator for Aqua Engineers Inc.
He was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Martha Huddy Chow, sister Lyndell Makanani, and brother Michael Chow.
He is survived by wife Kimberly Chow, son Clay Chow, brother Ken Chow, sister Darlene (George) Thronas, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue.

John W. Somerville
John W. Somerville, of Koloa, passed away on June 14, 2019, at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home, Omao, at the age of 83.
Born on Sept. 17, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was a retired tennis professional and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by parents Francis and Wilmina Somerville, and wife Hattie Somerville.
He is survived by sons Henry (Rowena) Somerville and James (Alix) Somerville, daughters Hannah (Peter) Sirois and Betsy (Mike) Purpura, sister Jeannie (John) Newman, brother Tom (Susan) Somerville, and six grandchildren.
His celebration of life is private.
