Futsal is considered to be a smaller version of soccer. Futsal uses five players per team on a basketball-style court. The ball moves very quickly in a smaller playing area, forcing players to participate more, think and make decisions rapidly, and creative with their plays. Players typically pass, and then move without the ball to create free space on the court. The game is quick and extremely exciting for spectators.
Kauai Futsal is an organization committed to youth futsal development on Kauai. They are an affiliate of Hawaii Futsal and operate under the Hawaii Soccer Federation, a nonprofit organization. Kauai Futsal runs a recreational winter futsal league for all levels of players in the 8U-14U age divisions.
