Lupe Silva was busy working on ti-leaf rose lei (strong Pacific island influence, here) for graduation (kudos and congratulations to all the graduates, teachers and principals!) orders, and Memory was tending to the two furry mascots who beat the heat by napping.
Kudos to Angela Hoover and the Girl Scouts on setting up the Lei of Aloha station at Kukui Grove Center Friday evening, where shoppers could stop by and create lei for the Memorial Day services that will take place Monday from 10 a.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
