Roger Colobong Mangayayam
Roger Colobong Mangayayam, 58, of Hanapepe, passed away on April 1, 2019, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1960, in the Philippines.
He was preceded in death by father Dionicio Mangayayam.
He is survived by sons A.J. Tyson Mangayayam, Michael Mangayayam and Aaron Idol Mangayayam, all of Hanapepe, mother Celedonia Colobong Mangayayam of Hanamaulu, brothers Armando Mangayayam of Kekaha, Robert (Yolanda) Mangayayam of Hanapepe, Deody (Elma) Mangayayam of Kekaha and Anthony (Lea) Mangayayam of Hanapepe, sisters Josefina (James) Locquiao of Kekaha, Mila (Rey Carbonel) Mangayayam of Koloa, Gigi (Ricky) Collins of Honolulu, Glorie (George) Mangayayam Rarangol of Hanamaulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 25, at Holy Cross church in Kalaheo from 9 to 10:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire.

Fausto Sambaljon Torres, 85, of Kapaa, passed away on April 5, 2019, at his home in Kapaa.
He was born on July 22, 1933, in the Philippines.
He is survived by wife Regina Torres, sons Sonny Torres, Bonifacio (Cathy) Torres, Clarence (Melba) Torres and Robert Torres, daughters Juanita (Richard) Agaran and Anabel (Rodel) Giron, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Maria Torres and Raymunda Luzano, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 1, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.

Federico Acoba Jr.
Federico Acoba Jr. of Kekaha passed away on April 21, 2019, at his home in Kekaha.
Born on March 9, 1937, in Waimea, he retired as a truck and tractor mechanic.
He was preceded in death by wife Florentina Acoba, and parents Federico Sr. and Eugenia Acoba.
He is survived by sons Edmund (Evelyn) Acoba and Eric (Juliet) Acoba, daughters Darleen (Steven) Rivera and Diane (Norman Vea Sr.) Acoba, grandchildren Rilen (Shyenne) Bayot, Darrick (Sheryl) Bayot, Michael Acoba, Beau Acoba, Justin (Emily Dias) Acoba, Jessica Ann Acoba, Jonah Acoba, Urijah Acoba, Jason Saba, Tamara Thurstan, Ian Donaldson, Zane Donaldson, Marjorie Donaldson, Norman Vea Jr., Aaron Vea, Nikki (Cy) Corona, Steven Rivera, Stevenson Rivera, great grandchildren Rysen-Duke Bayot, Riley Rei Bayot, Elijan-Daniel Bayot, Jaclah-Mari Bayot and Camden Acoba, brother Andres (Josephine) Acoba, brother-in-law Andres Yanos, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 11, at Kekaha United Methodist Church from 9 a.m.. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire or suggests dress in blue and white.

William Takashi Kanekiyo
William Takashi Kanekiyo, 95, formerly of Hanapepe, passed away on April 3, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born in Makaweli, served with 442nd Infantry Regiment, and retired as an outside salesman for Hale Kauai.
He is survived by wife Frances Kanekiyo, daughters Cynthia (Calvin) Okinaka of Honolulu, Dulcie (Alvin) Yano of Lawai and Kristl (Daniel) Patterson of Honolulu, sister Janet (James) Yamada of California, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Private services were held. Garden Island Mortuary and the Rev. Tomo Hojo of the West Kauai Hongwanji Mission assisted the family with arrangements.
Yuriye N. Yokohama
Yuriye N. Yokohama, 92, of Lihue, passed away on April 13, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on March 18, 1927 on Kauai, she was a waitress.
She was preceded in death by husband Allen Yokoyama.
She is survived by son Robert (Kimberly) Kato of Omao, grandchild Aira (John) Pacheco, great-grandchildren Anela and Analu Pacheco, brothers Muneo, Megumi and Ichio Nagato, sister Shizue Nagato, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
