Kaito Newbill of Wailua has his Tuesday routine down pat, starting with storytime with Victoria Lam, the childrens librarian at the Lihue Public Library, said his grandmother, Joanne Fujio. From there, its off to the farmers market (check out the state Department of Health ladies who shop there, too) at the Historic County Building (its walking distance), where aunty Glenna Ueunten has his tray (vendor Erlinda Ballesteros calls it magic) that he plays with while grandma shops and talks story.

Congratulations to Kapaa volleyball coach Kapule Kaona and the Warriors on winning their fourth straight Kauai Intrescholastic Federation title on Kapaa’s senior night (was nice to see uncle John Kaneholani again!), and congratulations to Kauai coach Enoch A‘ana and the Red Raiders for putting up such a great challenge!
Don’t forget the MS Walk (is Ron Wood emcee-ing that event?) that starts with registration at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Kapaa Beach Park with people like Laurie Nakama (is Sharron Weber going to be there?), Ed Kawamura Sr. (he’s a Kauai Small Business Administration award winner!), and Cindy Edralin (Chico and Lance make a really nice musical duo!).
Before that, check out all the Earth Day (isn’t this Easter, too?) activities taking place all over, including Kukui Grove Center.
OK, so what kind of Easter celebrations are there?
