She was preceded in death by husband Donald H. Kanahele, parents Kuuleilaoha and Joseph Keoualani Kanahele, sister Jeane K. Keale, brother Lindsay K. Kelley, sister Josephine K. Kelley, son Donald H. Kanahele and daughter Anna K. Kaohelaulii.
She is survived by sons Kelmar H. Kanahele of Hilo and Joseph Keoulani (Maryann) Kunahele of Koloa, daughters Kay K. (Isaac) Kanahele of Kekaha, Ida K. (Gordon) Kaaumoana of Puuwai, Niihau, Diane H. (Bernard) Kanahele of Puuwai, Niihau, and Annie K. (George) Kanahele of Puuwai, Niihau, grandchildren Kathy N. (Malia) Pfeiffer, Dana A. (Kaohe) Kaohelaulii, Cheryle W. (John) Kahokuloa, Ronnie H. Kaohelaulii, Georgiana N. (Kalei) Kahale, Kurtis N. (Ilima) Kanahele, Tiffany K. (Peni) Kanahele, Myrahann K. (Brian) Kanahele Gerardo, Kerrilyann N. (Bryson) Kanahele, Tracyann H. (Hopate) Kanahele Vakameilau, Chassidyann K. Kanahele, Bernard O. Kanahele, Katelynn K. Kanahele, Julieann M. Kanahele, Joseph K. Kanahele Jr., Annieellen Marie K. (Kaleiolalaui) Kanahele, Sydneyann K. (Sanjay) Kaaumoana-Morton and Gordon K. Kaaumoana Jr., hanai children Tom Summers, Kuana Torres, Mark Turner, Gladys Kahale, Kaalik-lee, Charlie Baher, Nani Valpoon, Keikialoha Kahahuloa, Mike Sebareme, Lon Malapit and Jd. Queen.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, at Ohana Niihau O’ Waimea Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. to noon and services at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor in Kekaha.
The family suggests aloha attire.
