Talk about a full plate. Wes Perreira is not only leading the Hawaii Foodbank Kauai Branch food collection day, he moves right over to Hanapepe as the event lead for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life Saturday!
Patrick Ono, the Matson Kauai district manager, has his plate almost as overflowing as he said he’ll be helping the food collection efforts at the Safeway store in Hokulei Village in Puhi with the Girl Scouts. He said Matson is also helping at the Relay For Life because he needed to drop off the Matson banner.
So, who’s going to help Juno Apalla and the March for Babies that opens Saturday morning with registration starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Lydgate Park?
Kapaa tennis coach Richard Waneck was hoping the new basketball/tennis courts were going to be ready for Saturday’s matches, but after all that Wednesday rain (congratulations to Waimea coach Teddy Perreira and the Menehune softball on the big win!), it appears we’re back to the Timbers Resort at Hokuala.
And, how about Faith Campbell and Karen Silver from Wilcox Health? They’re hosting a free diabetes awareness expo with prizes and information — it’s always better to not have illnesses than try to figure out how to get rid of it when you get it.
Kyle Yoshida of Gammie Home Care used to go to the Contractors Association of Kauai Home Expo (it opens today and continues Saturday at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall) with his parents. This year, Kyle is there as an exhibitor.
OK, pray for no rain…Easter bunnies don’t look so good soggy.
