LIHUE — Hawaii Foodbank Kauai Branch has promoted Chyenne Beach to community development specialist. She will be responsible for overseeing development strategies.
“I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with the community to expand our reach on my home island,” said Chyenne Beach. “The struggle on Kauai is very real for many people. I want to make a difference in their lives, inspiring hope in those who depend greatly on our services.”
Beach joined Hawaii Foodbank Kauai Branch in June.
“From the moment Chyenne walked through our doors we knew she was special,” said Wes Perreira, director. “You can’t teach passion nor can you force someone to be passionate about something.”
Ron Mizutani, president and CEO of Hawaii Foodbank, said they will continue to invest in equipment, facilities and people.
“Our Kauai family is growing,” he said. “The needs are great on Kauai and we have much work to do.”
