Osamu ‘Shorty’ Arashiro
Osamu “Shorty” Arashiro passed away on March 22, 2019, at Waimea. He was born on March 29, 1926, in Wahiawa, he was a supervisor of Kekaha Sugar, and he also served in the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lauae Jean Arashiro; son Amos “Moose” Arashiro; siblings, Masaichi, Mamoru, Masaru, Harumi Arashiro, Jeanette Miyashiro and Matsue Napohaku.
He is survived by his son Alvin (Carmen) Arashiro; daughters, Annabelle (Jack) Evans, Cheryl Lou (Glenn) Morimoto, Laureen (Homelani) Arashiro; hanai daughter Sasha Figueira; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 5, from 9 a.m. and celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. at Kekaha Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There will be a burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Mrs. Betty Ann Liliu Saragosa Fernandez
Mrs. Betty Ann Liliu Saragosa Fernandez, 81, of Ookala, died at her residence on March 3, 2019. She was born in Hilo on April 8, 1937, and was a retired housekeeper.
Visitation will be held at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo on April 6, 2019, from 9 to 10 a.m.; Prayer Service will begin at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow at the mortuary. Burial will follow lunch at the Ookala Catholic Cemetery in Ookala. Casual attire is requested.
She is survived by son Randall “Randy” Fernandez of Papaaloa; daughters, Junedale Matsuda of Volcano, Carolyn (Alfonso “Bradda”) Martin, Jr. of Kalaheo, Desiree (Clyde) Kaluahine of Hanamaulu; brothers, Charles Saragosa of Hilo, Albert (Lynelle) Toralba of Milolii; sisters, Margie Carter of Kalaheo, Evon (Cory) Seyer of Nevada, Molly (Roy) McRight of Kona, Mona (Delbert) Costa of Laupahoehoe; brothers-in-law, Ernest Thomas of Hilo, Sam Thomas of Hilo, Leonard (Claire) Midallia of Laupahoehoe; sisters-in-law, Lyla Midallia of Hilo, Lorraine (Kenneth) Acdal of Paauhau, Linda Midallia of Ookala; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; preceded in death by husband Harold Fernandez; great-granddaughter Caleigha Jean Fernandez.

Magdalena Pascual Agbayani
Magdalena Pascual Agbayani, 95, Lihue, passed away on Feb. 17, 2019, at Garden Isle Healthcare and Rehab. Born on July 14, 1923, in the Philippines, she was a housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Agbayani; daughter Josefina Agbayani; sons, Generoso and Mario Agbayani; parents, Esteban and Sabina Labayog Pascual; siblings, Genara Pascual, Florida Corpuz, Cresencia Regalado, Francisco Pascual, Maria Pascual, Benjamin Pascual and Esmenia Pascua.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicky Agbayani of Hanamaulu, Linda (Jacinto) Pascua of Kekaha, Julia (Rolando) Delemos of California, Susana (Moises) Pastor of Hanamaulu, Bina (Famie) Galano of Hanamaulu; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wake services on Friday, April 5, 2019, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Family suggests casual attire. Luncheon to follow.

Carylin Louise
Carylin Louise Aka (Keli’i) passed away in Oregon on Oct. 14, 2018, at the age of 77.
Carylin is survived by her three children, Penny Auau of Lihue, Robert (Jenn) Ford of St. Louis, Kamalani (Derek) Aka-Nogami of Honolulu. Carylin has numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, a celebration of life will be held at Poipu Beach Park.
Encarnacion Rabago Delgado
Encarnacion Rabago Delgado, 95, of Lihue, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on March 5, 2019. She was born in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Jan. 4, 1924, and retired from Sheraton Coconut Beach Hotel as a housekeeper.
Preceded in death by her husband Melanio Pancho Delgado.
Encarnacion is survived by her caregiver and granddaughter Tiffany Delgado; daughters, Nancy Delgado, Pat Delgado Macadangdang, Victoria D. Garcia, Mercedes D. Baay of the Philippines, Teresita (Dario) Sibolboro of Las Vegas; son Henry (Ofelia) Delgado; adopted children, Zelda (Buddy) Viernes, Milagros Delgado, Wilmer Delgado; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebration at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Lenson William Coyamin Perez
Lenson William Coyamin Perez, 31, of Poipu, passed away on March 1, 2019. He was born on April 8, 1987 in Lihue.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Julio Cruz Perez, Sophia Gonsalves (Joseph) Akita.
He is survived by his mother Rebecca “Becky” (Ricky Imada) Coyamin; his father Leonard; step-mom, Edwina Perez; sister, Leona (Les Tumpap) Perez; maternal grandparents, Ross Coyamin, Frances (Donald) Rapozo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.
Visitations with the family will be on Sat., April 13, from 8:30 a.m., with Mass celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa. The family graciously requests no flowers.
