Michael K. Chow
Michael K. Chow, 59, of Visalia, California, peacefully passed on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Kaweah Delta Hospital.
He was born on May 2, 1959, on Kauai. A hard worker, he was a long-time employee of the Sheraton Coconut Beach Hotel as a security guard, and retired from the state Department of Transportation Highways Division as a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Martha Chow and eldest sister Lyndelle Makanani.
A gentle soul, he was fun, loveable and a devoted family man. He is survived by wife Malia Chow, daughter Mishelle Kahilena Chow, son Michael Waika Chow and godchildren Ekolu and Tristyn Rivera, sister Darlene (George) Thronas, brothers Ken Chow and Clayton (Kim) Chow, nieces Sheri and Sharlene Thronas and Kendra and Kaylyn Makanani, nephews George Thronas Jr., Tyson Thronas and Kahale Chow, brother-in-law Tommy Makanani, in-laws Wenny (Mary) Rivera, DeeAnn ( Tom) Slobig, Akala (Bryan) Aiwohi, Elua (Trish) Rivera, hanai family John and Judy Crabtree of Visalia, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life and legacy will be held at the Lihue Kauai Veterans Center on Friday, March 22, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., services to follow and luncheon to follow. Burial will follow at the Lihue Cemetery.
Dwayne Daye Naumu
Dwayne Daye Naumu of Lihue passed away on Feb. 12, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 27, 1947, on Kauai.
He was preceded in death by father Wallace Aukai Naumu.
He is survived by wife Ruth Naumu, mothe Janet Naumu, children Tiffany Naumu, Trisha Naumu, Garrett Naumu and Krystal Naumu, brothers Darryl (Caroline) Naumu and Glenn Naumu, grandchildren Brenden, Aleajah and Taytra Naumu, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 24, at Kauai Veteran’s Center in Lihue, with family visitation from 3 to 3:30 p.m. and services to follow. The family will be wearing his favorite color, red, and invite all who attend to do the same.

Edward Ulangco Jimenez
Edward Ulangco Jimenez, 77, of Kilauea, passed away at home on March 5, 2019. He was born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on Oct. 13, 1941, and retired as a grounds- keeper with Hanalei Bay Resort.
He was preceded in death by wife Emma Villahermosa Jimenez, son Benjamin Jimenez, and brother Enrique Jimenez.
He is survived by sons Edgar (Lovella) Jimenez of Kapaa, Edwardo Jimenez Jr. of the Philippines, Ronald (Zoya) Jimenez of Kilauea and Randy Jimenez of Arizona, daughter-in-law Rose Jimenez of Alaska, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at St. Catherine Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kealia Cemetery.

Wilfred Masanori Nishioka
Wilfred Masanori Nishioka, 90, of Lihue, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on March 3, 2019. He was born on Oahu on April 28, 1928, and retired from Marsh & McLennan Insurance Company.
He was preceded in death by son Waldon Nishioka, son-in-law Eric Koga, parents Gensaku and Soyo Nishioka, brothers Charlie and Henry Nishioka, and sisters Alice Obara and Gladys Yamada.
He is survived by wife Florence Nishioka, sons Nathan and Walton Nishioka, daughter Alison Koga, grandchildren Dane and Cailee (Justin) Estes, great-grandchild Brooke Estes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held. The family graciously declines koden (monetary gifts).

Arthur Nadarisay Luteman
Arthur Nadarisay Luteman, 57, of Eleele, passed away on March 8, 2019, in Lihue.
Born on July 1, 1961, in Manila, Philippines, he was an avionics technician and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by father Paul Gerard Luteman and mother Maria Luteman.
He is survived by wife Marilyn Luteman of Eleele, son Trevor James Luteman of California, daughter Michelle Leanne Coleman of Virginia, grandchildren Nolan James Luteman and Carter James Luteman, and brothers Robert Hancock of California and Alfredo Nadarisay of California.
Services will be held at a later date.

Lee Anne Pescador Domingo
Lee Anne Pescador Domingo, 50, of Mililani, died on March 11, 2019. She was born in Lihue on June 19, 1968, and was a teacher at Washington Middle School.
She is survived by husband Robert, daughters Mari and Mika, son Micah, mother Karen Agader Pescador, brother John (Ivy) Pescador, sister Marie (Tim) Pescador-Chun, and father Benjamin Pescador.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 98-939 Moanalua Road, Aiea, with services to follow at 11 a.m.
Valerie Jean Orsatelli Camara
Valerie Jean Orsatelli Camara, 63, of Kalaheo, passed away on Feb. 16, 2019, at Straub Hospital.
Born on May 13, 1955 in Waimea, she retired as a cafeteria manager at Koloa School.
She was preceded in death by father Stanley Adam Orsatelli and brother Jeffery Orsatelli.
She is survived by husband Wayne Camara of Kalaheo, sons August (Ginger) Camara of Maui and Stanley (Christine) Camara of Kalaheo, daughter Kimberly (Ernest) Ganiron of Hanamaulu, six grandchildren, mother Mildred Orsatelli of Lawai, sister Deborah (Clifford) Pimental of Lawai, brothers Robert (Cheryl) Orsatelli of Kalaheo, Stanley Orsatelli of Lawai and David Orsatelli of Lawai, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 23, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 9 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Bernard Raymond Almarza
Bernard Raymond Almarza passed away on Feb. 28, 2019, in Kent, Washington. He was born on Dec. 3, 1939, in Honolulu.
He was a truck driver with Chevron Corporation.
He is survived by his sons Bernard C. (Putsie) of Lihue and Donald (Lori) of Lihue, daughters Sandra (Ipo) Yoshioka of Lihue and Pamela (Ricky) Maghanoy of Kent, Washington, brother Marius Almarza of Oahu, sister Amelia “Nene” Fleming of Guam, sister-in-law Charlotte Almarza of Hilo, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Steven Paul Hilbert
Steven Paul Hilbert of Kekaha died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at the age of 64.
He is survived by two sisters and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Edward Guelf and his partner of 30 years, Lanette Smith.
He was a retired fishing boat captain working out of Dana Point, California, and long time resident of Aspen, Colorado, where he was a well-known bartender.
Memorials are being planned both on Kauai and in Colorado at later dates.
