Steven Paul Hilbert of Kekaha died Jan. 24, 2019, at the age of 64.
He is survived by two sisters and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Edward Guelf and his partner of 30 years, Lanette Smith.
He was a retired fishing boat captain, working out of Dana Point, California, and long time resident of Aspen, Colorado, where he was a well-known bartender.
Memorials are being planned both on Kauai and in Colorado at later dates.
Mildred Setsumi Yamauchi
Mildred Setsumi Yamauchi, 81, of Kalaheo, passed away on March 13, 2019, at her home.
Born on Dec. 2, 1937, in Eleele, she was a retired postmaster.
She was preceded in death by father Katsumi Yamamoto, mother Helen Cudiamat, brother Walter Yamamoto, son Kent (Esther) Yamauchi of Omao, daughters Debbie Watts of Kalaheo, Lisa (Kelly) Kaauwai of Anahola, Cathy Shibuya (Eric Agena) of Lihue, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Melvin (Florence) Yamamoto of Kaneohe, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 2 to 3 p.m., with services to follow.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Corazon Vallesteros Cadiente
Corazon Vallesteros Cadiente, 61, of Koloa, passed away on Feb. 24, 2019, at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu.
Born on June 24, 1957, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a seed culter at McBryde Sugar Company and Gay & Robinson.
He was preceded in death by father Federico Cadiente, mother Caridad Cadiente, and brothers Andres Cadiente and Federico Cadiente Jr.
He is survived by wife Elsa Ramelb Cadiente of Koloa, sons Noel (Prescilla) Ramelb Cadiente of Koloa and Jonel (Rose) Ramelb Cadiente of Kaumakani, daughters Azel Rose Ramelb Cadiente of Koloa, Charlene Mae Ramelb Cadiente of Koloa, Jennifer Lee (Kalen Soares) Cadiente of Koloa, eight grandchildren, brothers Fortunato (Aida) Cadiente of Lawai, Warlito Cadiente of Lihue, Robert (Lydia) Cadiente of Lihue and Dennis (Aillean) Cadiente of Kilauea, sisters Erlinda (Prisco) Ancheta of Lihue, Gonnie (Roger) Barr of Connecticut, Merlina (Manuel) Catbagan of Kapaa, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 29, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 5 to 9 p.m., with rosary at 7 p.m., and again on Saturday, March 30, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa from 9 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Raphael Church Cemetery.
