Nalani DeSilva
Yukie-Lynn Nalani DeSilva of Kapaa passed away at Queen’s Medical Center on Jan. 26, 2019, at the age of 48. Born on Dec. 7, 1970, she was an advertising sales assistant for The Garden Island newspaper and an active CrossFitter at Kauai CrossFit.
She was preceded in death by father Yukio Higashi, brothers-in-law Alan and Shannon DeSilva, and sister-in-law Lynette Meatoga.
She is survived by husband of 29 years Kevin DeSilva, daughter Moana (Chris) Baltazar, son Dustyn (Michaela Manago) DeSilva, hanai son Kalani Kahaunaele, mother Olinda Higashi, sisters Maile (Jonah) Cummings and Anolani (Kelo Rivera) Higashi, brothers Gordon (Danice) Higashi, Alvin (Deborah) Higashi, Dean (Mel) Higashi, Blaine Kaneholani and Kenny (Kana Kaohi) Meatoga, in-laws Wayne and Rita DeSilva, brother-in-law Travis (Lisa) DeSilva, and grandchildren Cijay, Cyris, Christyn and Chloey Baltazar.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 9, at Anahola Beach Park, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services to follow.
Sue Ann Conant Littlejohn
Sue Ann Conant Littlejohn, 91, of Volcano, passed away on Feb. 5, 2019, at home.
Born in Hanalei on Oct. 23, 1927, she was a retired associate of the Hawaii Heart Association, and was involved in Alu Like programs in Pahoa, and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by son Charles T. Littlejohn, daughters Mililani Bair and Lori Lei Wishon, six grandchildren, four hanai grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one grand-nephew.
A celebration of life is Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at The Village Church Volcano Assembly of God, 19-4276 Wright Rd., Volcano, HI 96785.

Esther Cecelia Malia Kamalu Kaleiohi Pezario
Esther Cecelia Malia Kamalu Kaleiohi Pezario of Anahola passed away on Feb. 12, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center, at the age of 85. She was born on Jan. 26, 1934 in Anahola. She retired as a housekeeping assistant with the Kauai BeachBoy Hotel.
She was preceded in death by husband Isidro “Vic” Pezario, parents George Sr. and Hannah Failing Kaleiohi, brothers George, John and Hiram Kaleiohi, sisters Ruth Tupa, Julia Castillo, Lillian Kaleiohi, Helen Obrero and Florence Navas, granddaughter April Pezario, and grandson Aaron Pezario-Young.
She is survived by daughters Charmagne (Alvin) Gushiken, Mollie Lowery and Lisa (Danny Kiilau) Pezario of Anahola, sons Blaine (Marlene) Pezario of Henderson, Nevada, Don (Nicole) Pezario of Kapaa, Anthony Pezario of Anahola and Edwin Pezario of Oahu, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister Elaine Fernandes of Anahola, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 8, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa, with viewing at 5 p.m. and services at 7 p.m. The final viewing on Saturday, March 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Isidro Cabatan ‘Vic’ Pezario
Isidro “Vic” Cabatan Pezario of Anahola passed away on Feb. 5, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 87.
He was born on May 15, 1931, in Agno, Pangasinan, Philippines, and retired as a truck driver for Rego Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by father Cipriano Pezario and mother Maria Cabatan Pezario of the Philippines, granddaughter April Pezario, and grandson Aaron Pezario-Young.
He was married for 66 years to Esther Cecelia Malia Kamalu Kaleiohi Pezario.
He is survived by daughters Charmagne (Alvin) Gushiken, Mollie Lowery and Lisa (Danny) Pezario of Anahola, sons Blaine (Marlene) Pezario of Henderson, Nevada, Don (Nicole) Pezario of Kapaa, Anthony Pezario of Anahola and Edwin Pezario of Oahu, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kimo Palama
Kimo Palama of Kalaheo died on Feb. 15, 2019, at Straub Medical Center on Oahu at the age of 54.
Born on July 11, 1964 in Waimea, he was a machine operator for Goodfellow Brothers Inc. He was preceded in death by parents Tommy and Patsy Palama, brother Kaleo Palama and sister Tanya Palama.
He is survived by son Koa Palama, daughters Keani (Kyle DeLima) Palama and Reign (Laule‘a Smythe) Palama, brothers Lance Palama, Kawila (Desiree) Palama and Keola (Megan) Palama, sister Tara Palama, nephews Kui (Shanelle) Palama, Landon Palama, Keanu (Trisha) Palama, Kaweo Palama and Hekili Palama, nieces Kulia Palama, Lacey Palama and Kahawaila‘i Palama, great nephews Lawakua Palama, Keale Palama and Haku Palama, grand-nieces Anuhea Palama, Aleigha Palama and Lanela Palama, and numerous cousins, aunties and uncles, horses and dogs.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, March 9, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, with visitation at 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m., with a celebration to follow. The family suggests cowboy attire.
