Advance tickets, $20, save you $4 that you can use to shop at some of the unique offerings like the student ceramic work from instructor Wayne Miyata, or jewelry from Susan Okada that come with the American Culinary Federation Kauai Chapter breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Kauai Community College.
To find the event — and you need to get there early for good parking — simply look for the big tent that is set up outside the cafeteria and fine dining facility, or listen for the sounds of the KCC musical ensembles under the direction of Sarah Tochiki, part of the day’s entertainment.
Advance tickets are available at locations from Kapaa to the Westside, including Dani’s Restaurant in Lihue, Fish Express, the Hukilau Lanai, Kalaheo Brick Oven Pizza, Kalaheo Cafe and Coffee Company, Kalena Fish Market, Kauai Coffee Visitor Center, Koloa Fish Market, Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering, MCS Grill in Hanapepe, Pono Market, Sole Mates in Kapaa, Sone’s Deli &Catering at Kukui Grove Center and, of course, at the KCC cafeteria.
Chef Martina Hilldorfer describes this as “Kauai’s biggest brunch.”
Proceeds will benefit scholarships for students in the culinary-arts program, help feed people at The Salvation Army where chefs prepare meals twice a month, culinary equipment, and the community as a whole.
Tickets will be available at the door Sunday for $24.
The all-you-can-eat menu includes eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, Portuguese sausage, ham, steamed rice, hash brown potatoes, cooked-to-order omelets, pancakes, assorted fresh fruits, a carving station featuring prime rib and ham, and pasteries.
Wash everything down with helpings from Kauai Coffee, Meadow Gold assorted juice and milk, and Kauai Springs water.
