KOKEE — Join conservationists and invasive-species-removal experts in Kokee on Friday, March 1, for a Hawaiian blessing and an invasive-species workday starting at 8:30 a.m.
After a blessing in Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow, volunteers will be shuttled to the historic pohaku hula site for a few hours of clearing invasive species.
Participants should bring lunch, water, gloves, rain gear and small yard cleaning tools, and wear covered shoes or boots.
Organizers include Ka ‘Imi Na‘auao O Hawaii Nei Institute, Kauai Forest Bird Recovery Project, Kokee Resource Conservation Program and Kauai Invasive Species Committee.
