POIPU — Casera Silva edged Coryssa Silva by five points to earn All Around Cowgirl honors during the last Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association event on Sunday at the CJM Country Stables.
Casera opened the rodeo strong by taking first place in the first D of the Barrel Racing event, stopping the clock on a 17.837-second go and edged Coryssa who finished the three-barrel pattern on a 17.945 go.
Casera also picked up a first place in the Steer Undecorating event with a 6.17 average on two go’s. Being the heeler for Cora Murayama, Casera picked up another top honor in the Dally Team Roping where she stopped the clocks on a 28.34 average on two go’s.
She also did the heeling for Marti Snyder where the duo came in second place, and in the Breakaway Roping, Casera finished third place below Coryssa who ended the event in second place with a 16.12 average on two go’s.
Coryssa also picked up a first finish in the first D of Pole Bending with a 21.538 go.
