The kadomatsu New Year’s decoration followed Elvrine Chow to the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula Wednesday. She had them at the Thursday Afternoon Street Fair at Kukui Grove Center, and one last time Saturday at the Kauai Community Market at Kauai Community College.

Mark Jones of Elmer’s Farm (yes, they’re trying the peanuts again!) said the micro veggies are really popular at the Kauai Culinary Market, and Sandy Poenhelt of The Right Slice got to talk about their ono pie crusts (you should have seen the number of smartphone note takers).
Elvrine Chow had her brother’s kadomatsu New Year’s decorations available, and Jenn Ortal had her hands full taking care of all the customers who wanted her chop suey (pineapple, coconut, and what was that third flavor?) malasada-on-a-stick.
Kung Hee Fat Choy, Feb. 5 for the Year of the Boar, said VictoriaGabriel of Reyn Spooner, who still had the Christmas wear (it’s more than shirts, neckties, beach sets and even doggie shirts) on sale before celebrating Chinese New Year. She already has the Year of the Boar shirts available at The Shops at Kukuiula (Stacie Chiba Miguel said The Clinic will be starting urgent care Jan. 2!).
