Rogelio ‘Roger’ Adviento Saraos
Rogelio “Roger” Adviento Saraos, 78, of Hanamaulu, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 26, 2018. He was born in Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on May 6, 1940, and retired from Prudential Life Insurance as a sales agent.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Feliza Saraos; sister, Helen Saraos.
Roger is survived by his wife, Gloria Saraos; daughters, Nina Saraos, Shanda (Matt) Womble; granddaughter, Nadja Shalom Saraos; great-granddaughter, Kaeja Kamelalani Celebrado; sister, Remedios (Med) Saraos Burgonio; brother, Rudolfo (Erlinda) Saraos; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Lihue United Church with viewing from 9 a.m. and services Celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Family suggests casual attire.

Vicente Roland Fermin
Vicente Roland Fermin, 61, of Brydewood Terrace, passed away on Nov. 28, 2018, at his home. Born on Feb. 11, 1957, in Lihue, Kauai, he worked maintenance building and grounds with Kawailoa Development.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Platon and Lourdes Fermin; sister, Elisa Fermin; nephew, Playtin Fermin.
He is survived by his wife, Corine M. Fermin; hanai son, Kekoa Ryan Brown; godson, Dustin Rasay; hanai daughter, Tierra Perreira; god daughter, Kaila Santos; brother, Wilbert (Fe) Fermin; nephews, Will Fermin, Phillip Fermin; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 9 a.m. and services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Family suggests casual attire. Please omit flowers.

Esther Sachiko Yamaguchi
Esther Sachiko Yamaguchi, 82, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on Oct. 19, 2018, at her home. Born on Jan. 5, 1936, on Kauai, Esther was a registered nurse at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Shigeto Yamaguchi; son, Kurt Yamaguchi; brother, Satoru Kudaishi; sister, Aiko Kudaishi.
She is survived by her son, Duane (Cindy) Yamaguchi of Mililani; her daughters, Wendy (Milton Koga) Yamaguchi of Lihue, Cadice (Fred) Pascual of Koloa; grandchildren:, Leslie Koga, Samantha Koga, Cal Koga, Caycie Pascual, Ally Pascual, Dustin Yamaguchi; great-grandchildren, Keahi and Kanoe Saiki; sister, Harumi (Bob) Kubo; sister-in-law, Jean Kudaishi; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wesley William Jerves
Wesley William Jerves, 58, of Hanamaulu, passed away at home on Nov. 9, 2018. He was born in Lihue on Dec. 17, 1959, and was a truck driver/heavy equipment operator.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Weslyn Jerves; father, Raymond Jerves; brother-in-law, Joel Miyashiro.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Rhonda Jerves; daughters, Channel (Myron Matsusaka) Jerves, Ashlyn Jerves, Jewel (Philip Papagayo) Jerves; mother, Meta Jerves; 7 grandchildren, Cerian Jerves, Tori Santiago, Wesley Santiago, Myah Matsusaka, Janai Thompson, Aiyana Matsusaka, Rize Papagayo; sisters, Lorilei (Randy) Watson, Alison Miyashiro; brother, Raymond (Peggy) Jerves; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Lihue Lutheran Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.
