PRINCEVILLE — A talk on marine debris and plastic pollution is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Princeville Public Library.
Barbara Wiedner of the Surfrider Foundation Kauai Chapter will provide information on the impact of marine debris and plastic pollution in oceans.
“Marine debris harms wildlife habitats, is ingested by a multitude of animals, facilitates the spread of invasive species and can cause serious navigational hazards,” a flier said.
This program will provide patrons with information they need to help combat this worldwide problem.
