The next meeting of the Kauai ‘Live Poets’ Society’ in partnership with the Lihue Public Library will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m. in the library conference room.
For the meeting, please bring a poem in progress following the prompt: “Describe a place (details, associations); move into a related memory, past event or oral history; draw upon another aspect of the memory and describe in detail; loop back to the point of origin/beginning.” Fifty lines maximum.
Please bring to the meeting 10-12 copies of your poem to share and writing materials.
Mark your 2019 calendar now for Jan. 21 (Martin Luther King Day). The Kauai Live Poets will present a program of original works in the Library focusing on the theme, “Poets for Peace.”
