LIHUE — Kapaa High School earned the No. 2 seed for the First Hawaiian Bank Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II football state championship, according to an HHSAA announcement on Sunday.
LIHUE — Kapaa High School earned the No. 2 seed for the First Hawaiian Bank Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II football state championship, according to an HHSAA announcement on Sunday.
The Warriors, clinching the Kauai Interscholastic Federation title following a 53-15 win over Waimea High School Saturday, will host the winner of the No. 3 seed Kamehameha-Hawaii and Kaimuki match, which will be contested Nov. 10 on the Big Island.
Game time for the Nov. 17 contest with Kapaa is 2 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
Top seed for the Division II championships go to Lahainaluna High School of the Maui Interscholastic League.
Roosevelt High School of the Oahu Interscholastic Association earns the No. 4 seed and will play off against Pac-5 of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu in a televised game starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Roosevelt field.
The winner of that matchup will face the top-seeded Lunas Nov. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at the Lahainaluna field.
Winners of the Kapaa game and the Lahainaluna game will meet for the Division II title on Nov. 24 at Aloha Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
