Wayne ‘Rocky’ Maurice Gonsalves Perreira Sr.
Wayne “Rocky” Maurice Gonsalves Perreira Sr., 71, of Lihue, passed away on Sept. 30, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on June 21, 1947, in Lihue, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the County of Kauai and also a tour bus driver with Roberts Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by parents Joseph G. and Adeline Perreira, and brother Joseph Gonsalves.
He is survived by wife Deborah Perreira, sons Duane Perreira, Wayne Perreira Jr., daughter Bonnie (Aaron) Howard, six grandchildren, brothers Richard (Donna) Gonsalves and Godfrey (Johelle) Perreira, sisters Roseline Victorino, Angieline Souza and Brenda Moniz, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at noon at the Hanamaulu Beach Park big pavilion.
The family suggests casual attire.

Epati Su‘esu‘e Faima, 76, of Kapaa, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Oct. 6, 2018. He was born in American Samoa on May 23, 1942, and retired as a carpenter with Carpenter Union Local 745.
He is survived by wife Marilyn Nani Faima of Kapaa, children Herbert (Hilary) Faima of Wailua, Marilyn Fuipu‘a (Brandon) Oili of Oahu, Patrick Faima of Wailua and Herberlyn Louiza Faima of Kapaa, 12 grandchildren, brothers Masina “Mike” Su‘esu‘e and Su‘esu‘e Su‘esu‘e, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be announced at a later date.

Susan Diane Holcomb
Susan Diane Holcomb, 67, of Kapaa, passed away on Oct. 6, 2018, at home. She was born in Illinois on Aug. 20, 1951. She worked as a banquet server at Kauai Surf and Sheraton.
She was preceded in death by husband Doyle Holcomb and mother Helen Apana.
She is survived by brother Craig Plumlee, daughter Hayley (Jayson) Holcomb, son Camden (Annaliese) Courcier, and three grandchildren.

Edward Chizuo ‘Chick’ Shota

Edward Chizuo “Chick” Shota, 89, of Kapaa, passed away on Oct. 1, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Aug. 2, 1929, in Moloaa, he was retired from the University of Hawaii Experiment Station and also from the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Kazuki and Asako Shota, and siblings Wallace (Flora) Shota, Helen (Charles) Saiki and Carole (Masa) Okamoto.
He is survived by wife June Ishihara Shota, daughters Verna (Carl) Oshiro and Joyce (Stanford) Oyama, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and brother Stanley (Janet) Shota.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Nov. 12 at Kapaa United Church of Christ from 10 to 10:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Kaizley ‘Pulama’ Kahalekomo Schmidt
Kaizley “Pulama” Kahalekomo Schmidt, 5 months old, of Waimea, passed away on Sept. 16, 2018, in San Diego.
She was born on April 8, 2018, in Waimea.
She is survived by parents Chelise “Kawai” Carlos-Kahalekomo and Andy “Kai” Schmidt, sisters Kairie Kahalekomo Schmidt and Kailye Kahalekomo Schmidt, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kekaha Ward from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., where services will be at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.
