The program will focus on opioids and related substance abuse disorders, which “are claiming lives and causing heartache in our community. Join us as we explore the extent of the crisis on Kauai and efforts underway to stem the tide of these addictions,” according to a press release.

Gerald McKenna, MD, psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist, will also speak. The meeting is set for 7:30 a.m. at Duke’s Canoe Club, Kalapaki.
