LIHUE — Kauai Youth Football commissioner Brad Hiranaka said the deadline for registering in the First KYF Shoreline Fishing tournament is Thursday afternoon.
Registration forms are available online at www.kauaiyouthfootball.com, and it needs to be completed and mailed with appropriate registration fees to Kauai Youth Football, P.O.Box 662236, Lihue, HI 96766 by Thursday.
Categories include Ulua, Oio, Papio (nine pounds and below), Eel, Others, 5 pounds and over, Others, 5 pounds and below, and Keiki, ages 17 years old and younger.
Special event t-shirts and a banquet-only provisions are included on the website as well as a ticket donation for the grand prize of a Mini Split System A/C unit.
Fishing starts at 12:01 p.m. Friday on Kauai’s shorelines. Weigh-in is Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at Nawiliwili Beach Park.
