Trump and Kim both winners!
Trump and Kim both winners!
The hate has reached a pandemic proportion, even while President Trump is doing great things for America during the Korean summit many of the comments live on Facebook were shameful. Remind you, this president is doing what no other president has ever done in regards to peace and to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
A few months ago the Left was screaming in fear that the president was going to start World War III due to his firm stance. Now they’re criticizing him for making peace. Trump isn’t the problem, it’s the people gushing with hatred that’s the problem. There’s an old expression, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” Trump could find a cure for cancer and his haters would still hate.
The press and the Left just doesn’t get it, they are confused as to why President Trump has such kind words for Kim Jung-un, could it be that Kim has an internet connection and a TV? Trump is playing his hand perfect!
President Trump and Kim are both winners!
Congress needs to welcome POTUS back home to Capitol Hill with a bipartisan standing ovation!
Nobel, Nobel, Nobel!
James “Kimo” Rosen, Kapaa
Well said Kimo. At the time I write this, there are no comments posted here yet. I think it will be interesting to see if the haters show up today venting their spleens of hatred. If so, it will only prove Kimo’s point.
Taking the high road I will agree with only one of James Rosen’s statements. Trump is definitely doing what no other president has ever done.
Great letter Kimo! Thank you for being a voice of reason in a sea of self important sheep with an agenda driven bias! With all the President has done for our Country, Veterans, families, legal citizen minorities, businesses, and security it’s a wonder how the confused among us just can’t see past their own misdirected agenda. Just when did “Making America Great Again” become objectionable? Answer – January 20, 2009.
I agree 100 percent with Kimo.
Liberals and self conscience hipsters will never get it. People outside of the hipster zones have way more sense than the hate fueled , cursing entertainers and fake news readers that infest our airwaves and social networks.
We are being “led” by a man-child whose failures in negotiation are legendary. When Kim has completely de-nuclearized and is being properly inspected as being such and we have lifted sanctions but not awarded him with economic plums, then you can come to me shouting “Nobel”.
After Trump has effusively praised this despotic dictator with a dismal record of human rights simply because he has a “promise” to dismantle his nuclear capacity, what message has been sent? That any third world country that develops nuclear weapons can earn prestige, join the big boys club and achieve economic points for doing so? It must be a great time for Trump and his sycophants to invest in plutonium.
In the first few months of his presidency, Obama apologized for America, promised to give more leadership to Europe, and be nice to Muslim countries. Europe was delighted and decided to give Obama the Nobel Peace Prize after just nine months in office.
How did that work for world peace? Under weak European leadership, Russia invaded the Crimea. Under weak American policy, ISIS grew and ruined the lives of millions. Meanwhile, North Korea became more and more dangerous over the Obama term. Obama gave Iran billions of dollars for an agreement, but it lacked proper inspections.
The 2009 Nobel committee looks pretty foolish.
Well said, Kimo!
Yeah Kimo never mind the kids in the detention centers screaming for their parents. Is this what MAGA is supposed to be? Shame on you and anyone else that agrees with you. Maybe your family should have been turned away.
Ummmmm, for the love of God, educate yourself.
If you commit a crime in the United States, and you are sent to jail or prison, then your kids are removed from you.
Illegally entering the United States is a crime. You know, “like” someone entering your home at 2 AM without permission.
Lots of kids out there in foster homes.
Stop the madness!!! Don’t submit to the liberal media drama every day. We lost the Vietnam War because to the media. Educate yourself please!
We lost the Vietnam War because it was designed to prop up incredibly corrupt regimes, killing, raping and torturing their own people and losing the support of everyone outside of Saigon itself. What the preFOX media saw and could not ignore about about the Tet Offensive is that the 100 attacks were initiated largely by people living in the very same neighborhoods. Educate yourself please!
It’s pretty easy to see who should be called the “haters!” It’s the ones cheerleading someone who denigrated the leader of our allies and neighbors then panders a brutal butcher of a dictator who murders and tortures hundreds of thousands of his own people.
I’m sure the Nobel Committee will take into account the fighting and dying still going on over the Jerusalem move even though it’s moved off the front page. What did that have to do with Peace?
Now, we have a six year old boy by himself in a cage at the border with the number 46 ON HIS ARM and ON HIS CHEST. Does that sound like anything from the past to you? Well….does it…..PUNKS? How about we skip the word “haters” for Rosen, Oswald, and Beeksma and go straight to “NAZIS!”
I think TGI should not allow someone here to call someone else Nazis. It sounds like hate speech. Also, being unwilling to put your name on your comments shows cowardice.
But the for record, Nazis were socialistic fans of Karl Marx (National Socialist Party). Nazis pretended to be friendly with German Christians for political gain but were actually followers of Frederick Nietzsche, who hated Christianity. They also had no respect for the sanctity of life. They hated Jews. They liked Charles Darwin’s racist views and used the “survival of the fittest” concepts to guide their politics.
Look at which political party today likes socialism, is not pro-life, and generally does not like Christians. Kimo Rosen is Jewish. I am pro-Jewish. My views are pretty much the opposite of the Nazi party. By taking the opposing views, Just Saying is much closer to Nazism.
Hitler said:
“the problem of how the future of the German nation can be secured is the problem of how Marxism can be exterminated.”
So much for your revisionist view. Also advocating censorship was a hallmark of the Nazi party. Burning books, etc.
I could go on but I don’t want to confuse you with more facts.
Mark, I see you’re accusing Just Saying of being a coward for not signing his real name.
How about your buddies Bluedream and Manawai? Are they cowards too?
Or are people only cowards when they disagree with you — but your pals when they agree with you?
Despite association games by Beeksma, the Nazis, yesterday, today and tomorrow, are considered by an overwhelming consensus of historians to be in a category of nationalistic, right wing extremists.
In the early 1920’s, 10% of the adults in the USA had KKK memberships. 500,000 of them marched down Pennsylvania Avenue. I had spread coast to coast. Scandals ended this short right wing extremist era (google “KKK 1920’s).
In the late 30’s. early 40’s, a sizable right wing extremist population supported Hitler’s achieved discipline, treatment of “inferiors,” an isolationist policy and they controlled the Republican Party; supporting Charles Lindbergh under the slogan: “America First” (Google “America First 1941”). Pearl Harbor put an end to all of that!
Today, right wing extremism has actually gained power. Not only in wall building, oppression of inferiors, modern Israel; but, the good ole USA. Even moderates find themselves supporting a vulgar name calling, immoral, unfaithful, corrupt businessman, who physically pushes other leaders out of his way, reverses the law against toxic coal ash dumping in rivers, and puts a 6 year old boy in a cage with a number on his arm and chest, all so their stereotypical aging, balding, white male agenda of denying a women’s right to choose might be aided somehow down the road.
So, you don’t like “Nazi,” Beeksma? Then supply us with an alternative, like “hypocrite” or “former christian!”
George, I call BS on your feigned outrage. You could care less about children at the border. You and the fake media didn’t care at all when Bill Clinton invoked the law that separates border jumpers who were caught unlawfully entering the country, from the children that they themselves put at risk. Nice try though.
Blue dream. Amazing how you were able to interpret my thinking on things. First off I spent 35 years as a teacher. So so much for caring about kids.
Me and the fake media? What source do you use to get information? What makes that anymore legitimate than where I get my info from
Next, I did not vote for a Clinton, ever.
Diverting blame is a tried and true method of those who cannot see beyond the end of their noses.
Finally, keep trying? The president can solve this in 30 seconds. But he is so intent on building his wall he could care less.
Come back if you have a real argument and or solution. Otherwise go back to your rhetorical devices.
Ain’t it funny how people without empathy believe everyone else is faking their’s?
Dream on Kimo. How dare any of you talk about “haters” in support of the most hate-ridden president in our history. You have revealed yourselves to humanity for what you are.
This just in:
trump CRUSHED on the family separation issue…FORCED to crawl to his desk and make that jagged schizophrenic signature reversing HIS POLICY that reenacted the Holocaust while muttering “It’s really his fault, and that guy by the door, and that fellow over there; but NOT ME…..oh no, never me!”
Hey Mark, here is a perspective on trump from the Pope. Enjoy.
“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel,” Pope Francis stated when responding to questions regarding Donald Trump.
A good wall would prevent family separations of law breakers.
I suppose, by implication, anyone who locks their door or car cannot be a Christian. Is that what you believe?
Suppose someone believes that, as a Christian, he cannot lock any doors. In that case, he still should not say that anyone who disagrees with him cannot be a Christian.
I’m sure Jesus would have said “Lock ’em up, make ’em cry, just look how it bothers the Libs!”
George,
You are correct that Hitler hated Communists. I should have made my point more clearly.
Fascism was started by Mussolini, who was a fan of Karl Marx. Fascism is an offspring of Marxism. Hitler became a fascist, and named his party the National Socialist Party.
Hitler hated Communists, but he was part of their family tree.
I believe in the American tradition of personal liberty. This is completely different from socialism, fascism, communism, etc. Just Saying seems to like the big government approaches. I am not saying he is a fascist. I am saying that, while he called me a Nazi, his ideology is much closer to Nazism than mine.
Oh yeah, 25 billion dollar walls aren’t the “Big Government Approach,” neither are trump’s massive artificial subsidies for coal, or trade wars here and coming, or the enormous Federal death penalty, programs and spending promised regarding opioids, or $40 billion on F-35s during the era of the Drone, or the $4 trillion budget, or the promised massive infrastructure redo, or stripping States of their right to automotive and workplace safety that exceeds Federal standards, or the recent corporate welfare tax bill, or the clear expansions of Federal Policing powers. Oh no, there’s no “Big Government Approaches” to MAGA. Beeksma, you don’t even know what you’re supporting!
BTW, a statement like “Fascism is an offspring of Marxism” could only be made by someone who has never in their lifetime so much as opened a book on 20th Century History.
Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism,[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and control of industry and commerce,[3] which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[4] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I before it spread to other European countries.[4] Opposed to liberalism, Marxism and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.
Also no matter how you define Christianity I think the Pope is a more credible source. Given your inaccuracies regarding history you might be better off not commenting on it.
Last of all your name calling, haters, cowards, etc. only serves to diminish your statements.
Craig,
I appreciate you using your name. I hope we can meet sometime, if we have not already met. Living on a small island, a lot of faces are familiar to me, even if I don’t know their names.
I think calling a Jewish person a Nazi, just because you disagree with them on something that has nothing to do with Nazism, is completely unacceptable.
If he (she?) had the courage to use his name, he may be a little more careful.
Mark: I’m a former resident of, and infrequent visitor to, Kauai; I’m now in Portland, Oregon.
We’ve “met” before, however, here. I used to use the name Wheeulz. Perhaps the next time I’m on-island for more than a couple of days, I’ll let people know that I’ll be at Tip Top on a certain day at a certain time. I did that once years ago, and met the famous Richard Gerald Godbehere Junior (RGGJR). At one point I held the unique distinction of being hated by BOTH far-right Richard AND simultaneously far-left Bettejo.
Manawai called me a liar a while back. Is he a coward for hiding behind his screen name? Just curious.
Beeksma, I picked up a software using troll 3 months ago and stopped using the name associated with 5200 comments on TGI online over the last 14 years. Everyone here knows who I am except you. I hope it’s not due to a growing tumor!
Donald Trump has declared that North Korea still poses an “extraordinary threat” to the United States, just days after saying that the country’s nuclear program no longer constituted a danger.
In an executive order on Friday, the president extended for one year the so-called “national emergency” with respect to the nuclear-armed nation, re-authorizing economic restrictions against it.
While expected, the declaration comes just nine days after Trump tweeted: “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea,” following his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore.
Love the stability. Trump should be a gymnast with all the flips he does.
