Donnie Dee Libre of Hanapepe, a retired heavy equipment operator, has passed away.
He was born in Kaumakani.
He is survived by wife Yolande Pantohan Libre, sons Isaac (Reyna Banasihan) Libre of Waimea, Abel (Kimberly Scott) Libre of Seaside, Oregon and Jonah (Danae Esias) Libre of Aiea, Oahu, brothers Lydell Felix (Yvonne) Libre of Kailua-Kona and Floyd Lyle (Peggy Robley) Libre of Hanapepe, sisters Rhoda (Michael Hayton) Libre of Puhi and Suzette Libre Scherich of California, mother Fely (Igne Libre) Faulkner, stepfather Dr. Gerry Faulkner, grandchildren Kaleb Libre, Alohilani Libre, Kairey Banasihan, Zariah Libre, Brayden Libre, Nixon Kaimanaalohaokalani Libre and Maddox Kameahookeleokekai Libre, caregiver, nieces Krystal Libre and Brittany Libre.
He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father Felix Dong Libre and sister Vida Libre Simmons.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 15, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha from 9 to 10 a.m., after which Mass shall follow. The family suggests casual attire. Burial will be on Sunday, June 17, at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Calvin Seiji Fukushima
Calvin Fukushima of Lihue passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2018, at the age of 70. He was born on Feb. 1, 1948.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who severed in Vietnam, and was a carpenter with Hawaiian Dredging Waterfront Division.
He was preceded in death by parents Katsuyuki and Matsue Fukushima, twin brother Alvin Fukushima, in-laws Severino and Elizabeth Oyamot, and sister-in-law Helena Oyamot.
He is survived by wife Rowena Fukushima of Lihue, daughter Dawn (Kenneth) Cummings of Wailua Homesteads, step-daughters Lehua (Joe Kelling) Rabelas of Oahu and Jaime (Bryce Nakamura) Rabelas of Hanamaulu, grandchildren Keona Peahu, Kawananakoa Peahu, Kahinu Peahu, Kamuela Peahu, Kyary Cummings, Kaliyah Cummings and Brycen Nakamura, great-granddaughter Kaniela Peahu, brothers Dennis (Jerilyn) Fukushima, Bernard Fukushima and Eugene Noel Fukushima, sister Joy (Randall) Goto, sister-in-law Wenda (Charles) Moon, brothers-in-law Rodney (Josie) Oyamot, Mansfield (Noreen) Oyamot, Malcolm (Faith Melandish) Oyamot and Jonathan (Marietta) Oyamot, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 16, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. and interment to follow. The family welcomes lei but requests that standing wreaths be omitted.

Angela Baldonado Adviento
Angela Baldonado Adviento, 93, of Hanamaulu, passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on May 30, 2018. She was born in Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on Sept. 13, 1924, and retired as a caretaker with Baris Care Home.
She was preceded in death by husband Dominador Adviento, daughters Myrna Panorel and Florentina Adviento, parents Mariano Baldonado and Anatalia Garcia, sister Teodora Banez and brother Ciriaco Baldonado.
She is survived by daughters Elisa (Eugenio) Talaga, Belma (Fel “Boy”) Baris and Delia (Renato) Alambat, grandchildren Michelle Talaga, Michael Talaga, Eric (Trina) Talaga, Jed (Jane) Baris, Jasper (Everild) Baris, Janis (Paul Jr.) Ganaden and Abigail Panorel, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 14, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be held in the Philippines.

Shawn ‘Boobooz Akea’ Laniakea Schoenhardt
Shawn “Boobooz Akea” Laniakea Schoenhardt, age 3, passed away Saturday, May 19, at 5:15 p.m. at home, officially pronounced at 7:22 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Three days shy of his given birthday, pre-kindergarten graduation, completion of full term of three-year growth and his father’s birthday celebration, he is survived by mother Amber Malia Alimboyoguen, father Tim “Teitei” Schoenhardt- Golden, brother Zhaleb Temana Kainoa Alimboyoguen, uncle Caleb Aero, aunt Zan Alimboyoguen, uncle Cullen Gutierrez, grandmother Marie Alma Acosta, uncle Lee Wright, hanai papa Keith (Joann) Silva, kupuna Shoshanna Barretto, mama Lauae and Dear Kanahele, tutu A.J. Alimboyoguen, grandmother Dezi (Larry Haasch) Nance, uncle Johnathan (Jaime) Schoenhardt, aunt Saundra Michelle Schoenhardt, uncle Mark (Angela) Harvey, Leinora Pualani Alimboyoguen, godfathers hanai Hatim (Lana) Jamou, Freddie Patricio and Richard (Luciana) Cappellino, godmother hanai Mary-Elizabeth (Richard ) Natividad and hanai Liane Sakai, godsiblings hanai Kanana Keikimakamaeokalani and Jaymen Tai Kamanaokalani Niheu-Kamaka, hanai Carys Coriz and hanai Malia Lynn McIntyre, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends. His premature birth presented him with many difficult medical challenges that he fought with courage, grace and determination. He never backed down from the fight, participating in many progressive medical treatments. Born at 21 weeks in the ambulance on his way to Queen Kapiolani Center for Women and Children, baby Shawn suffered a rare, prenatal stroke IVH3 and IVH4, with hydrocephalus and cerebellum agenisis.
With the assistance of new medications, healthy Shawn learned to communicate, see, crawl and walk. Despite his physical struggles, baby Shawn had a beautiful personality and loved to laugh. He was easily loved by everyone who met him. His family wrote, at just 3 years old, at his Mahiko Mill home baby Shawn lived a life of activism, raising awareness for his medical condition and successfully supporting children disability research for parental initiative ABLE, N.O.V.I. and E.C.H.O. His strength and smile left an imprint of universal love on not only his family, but his community, that will never be diminished by his passing.
Procession burial will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at Kekaha Cemetery of O’omano Secret Beach, Mana District, Kauai (Public), officiated by Kahu Loui Kaninau Espere-Cabebe. Services begin at 4 p.m. and interment will follow, with a celebration immediately after at Inters Kekaha- Mana pavilions (McArthur Park).
The family welcomes live native ground plants, loose, wili, haku and lei pua. Nakalaiwaa, WHS ‘98, Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Pablito ‘Lino’ T. Arellano
Pablito “Lino” T. Arellano, 73, of Koloa, passed away on May 16, 2018, at Straub Medical Center.
Born on July 19, 1944 in the Philippines, he was retired from the state Department of Transportation Airports Division.
He was preceded in death by father Fernando Arellano, and brothers Adriano, Romeo and Esteban Arellano.
He is survived by his wife Remedios Agustin Arellano of Koloa, daughters Eden (Gavin) Raquel of Wailua and Joycelyn (Regie Ragasa) Arellano of Kapaa, son Paul A. Arellano of Puhi, four grandchildren, mother Filomena Arellano of the Philippines, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 22, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday June 23, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
