Students are getting ready to practice interviewing for careers in their chosen fields.
On May 29, Kauai High School will be conducting mock job interviews with the junior class. This program offers students an opportunity to experience what it’s like to go through the interview process.
“Every year we run our junior class through a mock job interview to give them experience with interviewing for a job,” said Kauai High teacher and organizer Greg Anderson. “Many of our students have not interviewed before, so it gives them some hands-on experience with the interviewing process.”
The program offers students training tools to master job-interviewing skills with the help of the island’s top business professionals each year. Many community members have volunteered to interview students. However, more people are needed to help achieve their goal of interviewing more than 280 junior-class members.
