HANALEI — The three vehicles that were buried in sand following the mid-April flood have been removed from the Black Pot Beach Park area.
Starting Thursday, County of Kauai Department of Public Works worked with Pacific Concrete Cutting and Coring Inc. to remove two cars and one pickup truck from the area. Workers were also handling demolition of the comfort station that sunk into the sand.
“Those were the only vehicles within the Black Pot Beach area,” said Lyle Tabata, acting county engineer. “A vehicle was leaking some fluids when removed and has been returned to its owner.”
