POIPU — RumFire Poipu Beach, located oceanfront at Sheraton Kauai Resort, has selected The Rotary Club of Poipu Beach Community Foundation as its Table 53 May beneficiary.
Throughout each month, all net food and beverage proceeds from Table 53 are donated to local nonprofit organizations.
Funds raised in May will be allocated to Koloa-area flood victims from the devastating storm in April. The Table 53 initiative has raised more than $200,000 toward charitable causes since its inception in 2012.
The motto of Rotary International is “Service Above Self.”
The Poipu Beach club lives by this motto through its service projects, which include maintaining the pavilions at Salt Pond Beach Park and providing community grant distributions, such as adopting 20 classrooms at Koloa School and providing scholarships to Kauai Community College students.
