Helen Shota Saiki
Helen Shota Saiki of Kapaa passed away in Wilcox Medical Center on March 24, 2018, at the age of 92. She was born in Kapaa on Nov. 8, 1925, and retired from state of Hawaii Department of Taxation.
She was preceded in death by husband Charles Saiki and brother Wallace Shota.
She is survived by sons Clint (Sheila) Saiki and Alan (Piikea) Saiki, grandchildren Lauren Saiki, Devin Saiki, Christian Saiki and Kainalu Saiki, brothers Edward (June) Shota and Stanley (Janet) Shota, sister Carole Okamoto, sister-in-law Flora Shota, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 12, at Kapaa Hongwanji Mission, with visitation from 10 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Private inurnment services will be held. The family graciously declines flowers.

Josefina Padua Pabo
Josefina Padua Pabo, 95, of Hanamaulu, passed away on April 18, 2018. She was born in Bantay, Iloco Sur, Philippines, on March 19, 1923. She retired as a Kauai Stores sales clerk, and was also an Avon products representative for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by husband Irineo Pabo and daughter Eliza Santos.
She is survived by daughters Amelia Lane of Los Angeles and Betty (Ted) Gundram of Renton, Washington, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 10, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Earl L. Lanning Sr.
Earl L. Lanning Sr., 80, of Anahola, passed away on April 26, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on June 7, 1937, in Hawaii, he was a fisherman.
He was preceded in death by parents Carl and Carrie Lanning Sr., wife Lynette Lanning, sisters Cherie Lanning Mendes, Lorraine Lanning, Abigail Swain Kobayashi and Beatrice Swain, and brothers Titus Swain, Carl Lanning Jr., Theodore Lanning and Errol Lanning.
He is survived by sons Earl (Jolene) Lanning Jr., Pono (Tammy) Lanning Sr., Archie Lanning and Moku Lanning, daughters Earlyn (Kimo) Tin, Earlet (Kimo) Lanning, Earline “Pua” (Alani) Lanning, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Collette Lanning Tovi, Carrie Lanning Carvalho, Leslie Lanning and Valorry Lanning, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 3852 Makaio Road in Anahola from 11 a.m., with services to follow at 1:30 p.m. A paina will follow. The family suggests aloha attire.

Luciano ‘Lucky’ Oyamot
Luciano “Lucky” Oyamot, 85, of Makaweli, passed away on April 26, 2018, at his home.
Born on Jan. 5, 1933, in Makaweli Camp 6, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for Gay &Robinson Sugar Company, and also from the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Florentino and Josepha Oyamot, son Lucky Luke Oyamot, great-granddaughter Baby Lily Durant, and brothers Pedro, Dick, Larry, Marcie, Serverino “German” and Albert “Happy” Oyamot.
He is survived by wife Florence Rapozo Oyamot of Makaweli, son Chaddwick (Eric Rommen) Oyamot of Seattle, daughters Lorelei (Dellick) Numazawa of Waimea, Jodi (Clyde) Carvalho of Honolulu and Kristy (Roland) Durant of Makaweli, grandchildren Elua (Nylene) Numazawa, Kainoa (Tanya) Numazawa, Laleka Numazawa, Kalae, Moani and Wailana Durant, Jade (Leny) Oyamot Caberto, Kalani (Diana) Oyamot and Kealii and Piilani Carvalho, 15 great-grandchildren, sister Gloria Albarado, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 12, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery pavilion from 10 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow.
The family suggests casual attire, requests that wreaths be omitted, and that small arrangements are welcomed.

John Jerome Pico
John Jerome Pico, 71, of Kapaa, passed away on April 21, 2018, at Garden Island Healthcare Center, with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to Thomas and Concetta (Ditty) Pico. He is survived by wife Marie P. Pico, son Christopher J. Pico, daughter Christina-Maile C. Pico, brother Gerald (Sue Allen) Pico, sister Monique Pico, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 12, at Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park. Feel free to give respects at 9:30 a.m. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and he will be paddled out at 11:30 a.m. Aloha attire, moustaches and lei are welcome.
Folgencia ‘Flo’ ‘Inshiang’ Domingo Abrams
Folgencia “Flo” “Inshiang” Domingo Abrams, 81, passed away in Oakland, California, on April 12, 2018. She was born on March 9, 1937, in Waimea.
She was preceded in death by father and mother Justo and Susan “Corsino” Domingo, sister Frances Short, brothers Flaviano “Philip” Rodolpho, Bernaldo and Tomas, sisters-in-law Juana and Erika Domingo, former husband Barry Abrams, niece Nadine Alvaro, grand-nieces Dayna Mae Domingo and Michille Lee Short, and grand-nephew Gary D. Morris.
She is survived by her precious daughter Angelica, her devoted son-in-law Bhraath, beloved grandsons Kirin Agustin and Krishnan Andres (Ev Soria), her siblings, sister Loretta King, brothers Sylvestre “Bestre,” Ernesto “Ernie” Ray, “Mondo” (Janet) Domingo, numerous nieces and nephews, and a former husband, Agustin (Annabele Agcaolli).
A celebration of life will be held at the Waimea Neighborhood Center on May 19, 2018, officiated by the Rev. Lois Drake from San Diego, at 10 a.m.
The family requests that bright colors be worn.

Ness Cruzada Baris
Ness Cruzada Baris, 55, of California, passed away on April 8, 2018. She was born in Sap-ang, Silago, Southern Leyte, Philippines, on Jan. 7, 1963.
She was preceded in death by parents Frankie and Lalia Cruzada and sister Adela Cruzada Flores.
She is survived by sons Neil (D’Lissa) Baris and Nathan Baris, brothers Bobby (Virgie) Cruzada, John P. Cruzada and Donny (Sheri) Cruzada, grandchildren Isaiah Po‘okela Baris, Levi Pomaika‘i Baris, Kylah Mahina‘onalani Baris and Kaylor Makanamaikalani Baris, nephews Donny Cruzada, James Flores, Don Karl Cruzada, J.R. Cruzada, J.L. Cruzada and Francis Cruzada, nieces Mary Cruzada, Lennie (Harold) Tallano, Madel (Kalei) Kaneakua and Jhenny Mendoza, and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
