Benjamin Baguinon Caoagas, 76, of Lihue, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 21, 2018. He was born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Sept. 14, 1941, and retired as a Surveyor with Amfac Sugar Co.
He is preceded in death by parents, Tomas and Adriana Caoagas; brother, Ulpiano Caoagas; brother-in-law, Warlino Menor.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Eliza Caoagas of Lihue; sons, Marlo (Melisa Pegeder) Caoagas of Puhi, Adrian (Reichell Robles) Caoagas of Seattle, Washington, Christopher (Leah) Caoagas of Lihue; daughter, Melanie Caoagas of Seattle, Washington; 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Florentino (Erlina) Caoagas of Omao, Ferdinand (Estela) Caoagas of Wailua; sister, Carlina Menor of Las Vegas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Helen Shota Saiki
Helen Shota Saiki, of Kapaa, passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 24, 2018, at the age of 92. She was born in Kapaa, Hawaii, on Nov. 8, 1925, and retired from State of Hawaii, Department of Taxation.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Saiki; brother, Wallace Shota.
Helen is survived by sons, Clint (Sheila) Saiki, Alan (Piikea) Saiki; grandchildren, Lauren Saiki, Devin Saiki, Christian Saiki, Kainalu Saiki; brothers, Edward (June) Shota, Stanley (Janet) Shota; sister, Carole Okamoto; sister-in-law, Flora Shota; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Kapaa Hongwanji Mission with visitation from 10 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Private inurnment services will be held. Family graciously declines flowers.

Earl L. Lanning, Sr., 80 years old, of Anahola, Kauai, passed away on April 26, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on June 7, 1937, in Hawaii, he was a Fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Carrie Lanning, Sr.; wife, Lynette Lanning; sisters, Cherie Lanning Mendes, Lorraine Lanning, Abigail Swain Kobayashi, Beatrice Swain; brothers, Titus Swain, Carl Lanning, Jr., Theodore Lanning, Errol Lanning.
He is survived by sons, Earl (Jolene) Lanning, Jr., Pono (Tammy) Lanning, Sr., Archie Lanning, Moku Lanning; daughters, Earlyn (Kimo) Tin, Earlet (Kimo) Lanning, Earline “Pua” (Alani) Lanning; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Collette Lanning Tovi, Carrie Lanning Carvalho, Leslie Lanning, Valorry Lanning; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 3852 Makaio Road in Anahola, from 11 a.m. services to follow at 1:30 p.m. Aloha attire. Paina to follow.

Rosendo Gudoy Pablo, 80 years old, of Eleele, Kauai, passed away at his home in Eleele on April 13, 2018. Born on March 1, 1938, in the Philippines, he was a retired as a Field Worker with Pioneer
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Aglugob Pablo; mother, Isidora Del Rosario Pablo; daughters, Brigette (Rey) Quiocho, Carolina (Tebo) Booth, Josie (Frank) Bagul-Lo, Rowena Pablo; sons, Oliver (Myla) Pablo, Allan (Maricel) Pablo; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lenora Felipe, Nicolasa (Juanito) Castillo, Prima Cabatan; brother, Eden Pablo; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire recommended.
