Kudos to Cher Ellwood, new KPAC director, for hosting an entirely sold-out presentation of The Addams Family (Happy birthday, Lily-Anne Alt who celebrated her birthday at Sunday’s matinee!) at the Women In Theater location at the Kukui Grove Center.

Gary Ellwood (he takes care of the lights and audio for the production) said people can take their chances at the remaining three performances (Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.) because somehow, there are seats that pop up. But, remember, it is sold out (this is what happens when the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall is closed for asbestos removal work — not enough room)!
Kudos to the Visitor Industry Charity Walk (Countdown takes place Saturday at the Kukui Grove Center!) on hosting three big events benefiting this year’s fundraising goal. Stacie Chiba Miguel and Helaine Perel did the very successful Flavors of Kukuiula, Friday night; Maile Lewis, Grant James and the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort hosted the successful pancake breakfast Saturday, and Chip Bahouth and the Sheraton Kauai Resort ‘ohana (they even had Chuck Brady doing announcing) are thinking of opening the shoreline fishing contest to the public after its successful inaugural run!
