Politicians comical in Zuckerberg questioning
Hypocrites, all the U.S. senators wanting their sound bites heard while Facebook founder and CEO is drilled by the self-serving narcissist politicians.
I find it ironic most every senator drilling Mark Zuckerberg has a Facebook page. Most ask for donations through their Facebook pages, most these politicians save thousands of dollars in Face-time calls vs. long distance calls, or even airline flights. Facebook pages are free and usually more valuable than a website.
Zuckerberg is a modern-day Einstein. There needs to be some give and take. If Facebook wants to target my advertising toward things they believe I am interested in, that’s not something we should cry over, that’s good. I’d rather see ads for cameras than women’s clothing.
“Politicians (people) who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
Please do not re-elect any politician that is busting Zuckerberg’s chops! Let his genius continue and live on.

Thank you, Dr. Berg, for insights
Face it: No one — I repeat no one — since the history of history, has ever seen Hanalei look like this.
Search the photos. Think. How many vehicles have ever been seen before in Hanalei swamped and dead in the water? How many homes afloat and damaged beyond repair? How many people stranded, homeless, without food, water, power or bathroom facility?
No restoration will take place overnight and much of it could have been avoided. But let’s don’t go there. As a very wise young woman once said, “The most revolutionary act is a clear view of the world as it is.”
Anybody remember Rosa Luxemburg?
I want to thank Dr. Carl Berg.
Media pictures were splendid. The news well reported and uplifting. The community and, hopefully the government, prepared to handle the mess, but I think it’s time for all of us, certainly all of us on Kauai, to take a day off — one day — to stop and listen to the brave truthful brilliant voices of concern from people like Dr. Berg.
Open the community centers. Plead to all sane, intelligent, responsible citizens on the island to came and hear and face the truth. We’re in for it and it’s better to be prepared than it is to hope for the best.
I’d like to quote Dr. Berg, “With sea levels rising and more catastrophic weather events predicted …”
Global warming will affect us, too, and we are at the mercy of too many vapid ignorant powers that be who either lie, avoid, or slumber in wakeful denial.

Kimo, you are obsessed with Facebook, get help.
Good grief Bettejo, homelessness, people going hungry, 3rd world facilities, it happens on a daily basis, locally.
Read the Garden Island News, it’s all in there. Also read that the new Mayor is going to fix this, along with traffic congestion and drug addiction.

Wow! The Berg gets an endorsement from BJ Dux!! Couldn’t be better!
Kimo – perhaps you should do a little research before you waste your time writing a letter with a ridiculous conclusion that Zuckerberg is a “genius like Einstein”? I assure you he is no “genius”! First of all, he stole the idea for Facebook from two brothers in college who hired him and paid him to create THEIR IDEA of what we now know as Facebook. Then after the platform was put together, which any one of hundreds of computer geeks at the same college could have accomplished, Zuckerberg liked THEIR IDEA! He shafted the brothers, stole the idea, and created a small enclosed site for just the college students on campus. Because of blind luck, the wealthy gentleman who created Napster was dating one of the college students and noticed the interface. Wallah! He called Zuckerberg, took over the business aspect stolen by Zuckerberg, and raised millions of dollars that made Facebook what it is today! Now Facebook has morphed into a biased, agenda driven, sneaky advertiser selling all of your personal information to the highest bidder. Zuckerberg has violated every Facebook user’s privacy, and has created a platform to mold his personal politics into everyone else who is gullible enough to believe his company’s BS. Lighten up Kimo, Zuckerberg should probably be in jail for your identity theft,, and certainly is no “Einstein”!
” Zuckerberg has violated every Facebook user’s privacy … Zuckerberg should probably be in jail for your identity theft …”
Stop the presses! Gordon and I agree on something.
It is interesting how Zuckerberg is now in the cross-hairs. Both sides are not happy with him.
The liberals are angry because Trump’s team used Facebook to advertise (Obama did it too, of course, but in liberals’ minds, that was genius on Obama’s part).
The conservatives are angry with Zuckerberg because has so much power and, as a liberal, he is manipulating the information against conservatives. Basically, Zuckerberg is using Facebook as a propaganda machine.
Now that both sides are mad at Zuckerberg, he has an uphill struggle.
Actually, anyone who’s been paying attention is angry with Zuckerberg for letting the RUSSIANS poop all over the election — and the fact that Comrade Trump has done NOTHING to put a stop to it for future elections.
Of course, Obama knew it was happening before the election, which is when it matters, but he did nothing, thinking Hillary was going to win.
Don’t forget that Trump won because Americans voted for him, according to our electoral system.
Russians did not change the outcome. They wanted to create a little chaos in our system. They were successful, as Democrats now suggest that the outcome of our election is not valid.
We should shut down Russian bots, of course. But we should also make sure that we are not willing accomplices to the Russians by promoting chaos.
Your statement about Obama doing nothing is not consistent with the facts. Obama tried to do plenty; told Putin in person to knock-it-off, and went to Mitch McConnell to try to get bipartisan action against the Russians. But McConnell said NO — he would have nothing to do with it. You should try getting your news from a variety of sources, rather than just Fox. And BTW, in case Fox never told you, Trump LOST the popular vote … and, once again, he has done, and is doing, NOTHING to penalize the Russians for what they did or to prevent them from “creating chaos” again. Indeed, he refuses to implement the sanctions that the overwhelming majority of Congress, in BIPARTISAN fashion, passed. Why? Because Trump knows that the Russians swung the election to him, even if you don’t. Enjoy your Russian-bought victory while you can, because after November 6, your boy is going to be a Lame Duck.
