Mahalo to Emma Ledendecker, a 2018 Kauai Filipino Chamber of Commerce director, on her persistence in trying to get a hold of The Happy Camper Saturday. She should have followed Cyndi Ayonon who was at the Island School soccer games where Colby and Maja coach the Voyager women.

Or, perhaps the Kauai Interscholastic Federation swimming championships where Chris Machorek (great job to the Koloa Landing crew on hosting the KFCC gala) served as announcer.
Dickie Chang (was he a co-emcee with Bennette Misalucha at a Miss Kauai Filipina pageant?) and Bruce Smalling fit right in and had a ball with all the fine grinds created by Chef Rafael Camarillo (he even knows how to change the lights on the dessert table) and his capable culinary staff.
Mason Chock didn’t know who won the dance off between Derek Kawakami, Lenny Rapozo, and Mel Rapozo, joined by Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr., at the Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin concert, and neither did Sen. Ron Kouchi, Rep. Jimmy Tokioka, and Kauai County Council members Arthur Brun and Arryl Kaneshiro because everyone was listening to Jade Butay.
OK, off to the big boys soccer game between the Island School and Kapaa boys soccer.
