Mansfield ‘Manny’ Dacay
Mansfield “Manny” Dacay of Lihue, passed away on Dec. 14, 2017, at the age of 66.
Born on Aug. 7, 1951, in Lihue, he was a superintendent for the County of Kauai Department of Public Works Wastewater Division.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecilio Dacay.
He is survived by wife Donna Dacay, sons Garett (Natalie) Dacay, Joshua Dacay, Isaiah Dacay and Caleb (Heidi) Dacay, mother Delphine “Nina” Dacay, sisters Aurora (Bill) Fritz and Wanda (Glyn) Higashi, brother Wadsworth “Waddy” (Lynette) Dacay, six grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Catherine Church, Kapaa, on Saturday, Jan. 27, with visitation from 8 to 9:45 a.m., rosary at 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa.
