MIAMI (AP) — Authorities say a man was yelling threats at a Miami International Airport terminal and got into a confrontation with a federal officer before he was taken into custody.
Airport officials said in a tweet Wednesday that the situation was under control. There were no reports of injuries or shots fired.
Local television news reports showed a group of police officers standing around a person in handcuffs on the floor of the airport terminal check-in area.
Airport spokesman Greg Chin said increased traffic at the entrance to the airport was the only disruption to travelers.
Authorities did not identify the man, and it was unclear whether he was charged with a crime. They also did not identify the agency for which the federal officer worked.
