Police detectives have been working night and day in an attempt to solve the murder of Paul “Sonny” Wayne Featherman 27, shot to death in Hanalei either late Friday night-or early Saturday morning.
At the same time, they are searching for Featherman’s girlfriend who lived with him in a small home on Weke Rd., who may have been abducted following the shooting.
Detective Bernard Naea, who is in charge of the investigation said they are back-tracking and still trying to get more information from Featherman’s friends and neighbors. Lt. Albert Carroll, acting head of Criminal Investigation Division (CID) said the investigation was still open. He said they have been able to trace down a few clues but they have no one in custody.
Both detectives asked that another appeal be made to anyone who may have seen, heard, or know anything about the shooting and kidnapping, or the victims, call 245-6721, immediately.
