They are the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m., to the left of the gym, behind Kilauea Farmer’s Market.
Your future is being decided and you don’t even know it. And, when you receive the “Kilauea Light” newsletter, put out by our gracious volunteers in the Kilauea Community Outreach Program, read it.
Many hot topics of discussion are on the docket in Kilauea these days. Did you know that a developer has proposed to more than double the size of Kilauea Town? And, to make it one of the commercial centers of the world, he has come before the community to ask for their true opinion. This matter will be decided very soon.
And, on the docket for December — not to even mention our annual elections — I have asked that the Kilauea Neighborhood Board support an initiative to have a County referendum on two important issues: 1) Should we make the Planning Commission an Elective Body?
2) Should we make the County Council representative of the distinct districts of the Island?

See you there! Jim Edmonds Member of Board of Directors, Kilauea Neighborhood Association (at least this month)
