Elsie C. Texeira of Puhi, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 19, 1999, at the age of 95. Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i on May 25, 1904, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Texeira is survived by: three sons: David (Dorothy) Texeira, Sonny (Millie) Texeira, and Billy (Ida) Texeira all of Puhi, four daughters: Gussie Souza of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, Beatrice Lang of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Frances Getler of Newport Beach, Calif., and Dorothy (Albert) Moura of Kalaheo, Kaua’i; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Julia Ferreira of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, Gloria Perreira of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Helen Vidinha of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, Rosalina Duarte of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, and Emily Lopez of Salinas, Calif., sister-in-law: Virginia Vidinha of Kekaha, Kaua’i; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Paul will begin at 10:30 a.m. Followed by burial at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Kenneth Hall
Kenneth James Hall of Kaua’i, died Dec. 7, 1999, at home at the age of 93. Born Oct. 13, 1906, in Iowa, he worked for Douglas Aircraft, and worked on Amelia Earhardt’s plane during that time; owned vacation rentals, a laundry business along with numerous business and volunteer activities.
He is survived by his brother, Gordon Hall of Ventura, Calif, sister Beatrice VolKart of Leroy, Minn., son Eugene “Gene” (Iris) Hall, two grandsons Aaron Hall of Margaret River, Western Australia and Koa L.M. Hall of Honolulu. There will be no services. Internment will be at Grandview Memorial Park, Glendale, Calif.
