Brandeburg sparks the Raider offense in a 4-1 victory
LIHU’E — The Kaua’i
High School Red Raiders toppled the defending champion Waimea Menehunes in
Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation varsity boys soccer game Saturday at Vidinha
Stadium.
Cole Brandeburg paced the Raider offense, figuring in all four of
the goals. Brandeburg scored on two headers on crosses from teammates, and he
also had two assists, including one on a corner kick to Tate Takahashi who
knocked in a goal.
Ryan Rolland notched one goal on a 35-yarder for the
Raiders, and Jonn Nishiguchi contributed with one assist.
Jamieson Cosier
had the lone Waimea goal.
Kaua’i is in sole possession of first place in
the KIF with a 2-0 record. Both Waimea and Kapa’a are a game behind at
1-1.

Colby Ayonon scored
four big goals to power the Kapa’a Warriors past the Island/Kula
Wolf-Pac.
Duncan MacDonald, Robin Lore and Tyson Rabago helped out with two
goals apiece and Eddie Adams and Christian McKeown all scored one goal apiece
for the Warriors.
Varsity Girls

Jill Carmichael and Ingrid Nakamura paved the way to the Warrior victory
over the Wolf-Pac with two goals each.
Maja Marti, Rhonda Toki, Tiana
Laranio, Kehau Holden, Naomi Sparrowhawk and Jaimie Green all produced a goal
each for the defending KIF champions.
Kapa’a is off to another good start
at 2-0.

Jenni Waiwaiole and Jasmine Barber
sparked the Red Raider girls in the win over the Waimea Menehunes with two
goals each, while Tiana Lum-Tucker and Kehau Regidor had one assist
apiece.
Kaua’i High is 2-0 and will play in a game for first place against
the Warriors this Saturday at Vidinha Stadium.
