KOLOA — Until details can be worked out regarding the use of the new pavilion
built by the South Shore community at Anne S. Knudsen Park here, the pavilion
is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Project coordinators
Rosie Bukoski and Uli’i Castor hope to have conditions written into
reservations procedures to guarantee that folks reserving the adjacent ball
diamond for tournaments and related functions will have priority in using the
pavilion for awards ceremonies, post-tournament lu’au and other functions,
Castor said.
Some information in a recent article about the new pavilion
said the county is already accepting reservations for the facility. That isn’t
the case, yet.
Also, in that story, reference was made to a drinking
fountain donated in memory of the late Frank “Pops” Bukoski, Rosie’s father and
husband of Elizabeth “Ma” Bukoski. He had no middle initial, and did not go by
senior. Frank G. Bukoski, Sr., is his son, and Frank G. Bukoski, Jr. is his
grandson.
