Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Kaua’i
Soto Zen Temple, Zenshuji in Hanapepe; service officiated by Rev. Itagaki will
begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Takamatsu, of Puhi, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 22, 2000.,
at the age of 80
Born in Lihue, Kauai, on Feb. 15, 1920, he was a retired
Heavy Equipment Operator with Grove Farm Sugar Co., he is survived by: his
wife: Mitsue Takamatsu of Puhi, Kauai;one daughter: Elaine Takamatsu of
Honolulu, Oahu; one sister: Mildred Matsumoto of Puhi, Kauai; numerous
nieces, and nephews.
Services were private. Arrangements are being handled
by Garden Island Mortuary, ltd.

Frances Vidinha
Octavio of Kalaheo died April 28, 2000, at her home in Kalaheo at the age of
87.
A homemaker, she was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Koloa.
She is survived
by her husband: Seraphin Octavio of Kalaheo; five sons: Kenneth (Bernadette)
Vidinha of Wailua, Emanuel Mathew (Elfreide) Octavio of Hanapepe; Tim (Arlene)
Octavio of Kalaheo, Luke (Ruby) Octavio, Sr. of Kalaheo, and Zachary (Maureen)
Octavio of Kalaheo; two brothers: Ernest Vidinha of Honolulu and John (Bertha)
Vidinha of Kekaha; two sisters: Shandra Sabala of Lihue and Isabelle Pavao of
Ewa Beach; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is
scheduled for Monday, May 1, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kekaha from
5:30 p.m. Mass to be celebrated at 6 p.m. Visitation continues until 9 p.m.
Visitation is again scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, at Holy Cross Catholic Church
in Kalaheo from 1 p.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Burial to follow
at Koloa Catholic cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested.
