Department over Custom Limo in the latest outing for the HGEA softball league
played at the Isenberg Field.
The firemen tallied 13 hits in their victory
with Cory Sakai leading the bats on three singles and an RBI. Darryl Date
added an RBI on a pair of singles, and Dan Hirata also chalked up an RBI on a
triple.
Gregg Morishige picked up the win on the hill for the firemen
allowing nine hits with Lambert Alapai suffering the loss on 13 hits.
Scott
Kaui led the Custom Limo performance behind the plate with a pair of RBI on a
single. Alapai had an RBI on a single and a double with Derek Rapozo adding an
RBI on a double. Wesley Kaui had three singles in the outing.
A double by
Eric Sakazaki clinched the Kathleen Glass 16-4 win over Public
Works.
Sakazaki had three RBI on a single and a double in the win. Wendall
Nonaka chalked up three RBI on a pair of singles and a double with Kelly
Robinson also chalking up three RBI on a single and a triple. David Carveiro
added an RBI on three singles with Davis Oshiro also adding an RBI on a pair of
singles for Kathleen Glass who had 23 hits in the win.
Royce Ijima and
Vince Nitta paired singles to round out Kathleen’s performance behind the
plate.
Michael Akama was the only hitter for Public Works, coming up with a
single.
Peter Ishibashi suffered the loss for Public Works on the mound,
allowing the 23 hits with four walks while Kathleen’s combined the talents of
Sakazaki, Galen Shigeta, and Lance Nakata for the win. Sakazaki allowed no
hits on a walk with Shigeta allowing the sole Public Works hit on four walks,
and Nakata hurling perfect.
Hana Hou forfeit their contest to Nogi’s.
