VOLUNTEERS at the Lihu`e Hongwanji check on the lights on one of the
banners that will festoon their entry into this year’s “Lights on Rice” parade.
The event takes place Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Hardy and
Rice Streets and ending at the lawn of the historic county building. The
church is celebrating their centennial this year and that will be the theme of
their entry this year. This is the third year they will participate in the
