Kathy Fujihara-Chong and Ralph Thomas have been appointed to new positions at Bank of Hawai’i. Fujihara-Chong is senior vice president and division manager of the Bankoh Loan Center, and Thomas is information systems manager in the Information Management and Systems
Kathy Fujihara-Chong and Ralph Thomas have been appointed to new positions at
Bank of Hawai’i. Fujihara-Chong is senior vice president and division manager
of the Bankoh Loan Center, and Thomas is information systems manager in the
Information Management and Systems Group.
Fujihara-Chong is responsible for
managing credit approvals for small business and consumer loans in Hawai’i and
western Pacific, and handling the preparation, documentation, booking and
servicing of loans originated by consumer and commercial lending groups in
Hawai’i, Western Samoa and the western Pacific.
Since joining the bank in
1981 as manager of cost and profitability reporting in the controllers
department, she has held numerous lending and retail positions.
She holds a
master’s degree in finance and marketing from Northwestern University, and a
bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawai’i at
Manoa. She also conducted graduate research at the London School of
Economics.
Thomas, who most recently served as manager of the Bankoh Loan
Center, will now oversee the bank’s corporate technology services in areas
outside Hawai’i (west Pacific, south Pacific, Asia and portions of the U.S.
mainland).
He joined the bank in 1989 as manager of Operations Services. He
has held numerous management positions with the bank, and served as Pacific
Century Bank Arizona technology manager.
Prior to joining Bank of Hawai’i,
Thomas was a vice president at Wells Fargo Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree
in liberal arts from the University of Virginia, and did course work in
industrial engineering for production operations at Stanford University, and
managing information resources at the University of California at Los
Angeles.
