Santa Maria, Ilcoos Sur, P.I. , he was a retired field laborer for G & R
and a World War II veteran with the 298th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army.
He
is survived by his wife, Leoncia D. Briones; five sons, Mariano (Lolita)
Briones of Washington, Alex (Robina) Briones of Tennessee, Joseph (Merle)
Briones of Hanapepe, George (Dale) Briones of Hanapepe, and Jerry (Leonida)
Briones of Makaweli; one daughter, Edwina (Scott) Cordero of Texas; and nine
grandchildren.

Robert Sifers
Robert “Bob” Sifers, of Lawai,
Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 10, 2000, at the age of 69.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on Nov. 21, 1930, he was a retired Program
Manager with Pacific Missile Range Facility and a retired veteran of the United
States Navy.
He is survived by: his wife: Ryoko Sifers of Lawai, Kaua’i;
two daughters: Holly (Randall) Wood of Mililani, O’ahu and Niki Sifers Petro
of Kalaheo, Kaua’i; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Hanapepe
United Church of Christ. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be
omitted. Private inurnment.
