Your Dec. 14 editorial exposed a little of the bias that the media has displayed during this election process. Yes, it was close, were all of the walk in votes counted, yes. Have all of the absentee votes been counted, no.
Gore won the popular vote by about 400k votes. Almost 2 million absentee ballots have not been counted. If the media wants to count votes, count them all. If you truly want “final” results and fairness, that’s what you should do. Unless of course the purpose is to just support your bias.
It’s over, the clock ran out, the “Refs” blew the whistle. The score is recorded.
Close only counts in horse shoes and handgrenades. Dimples, “I thinks” and “maybes” just don’t count in this game.
It is interesting that the loser always wants to change the rules when it is obvious they have lost. Kids do it a lot, it gives them something to whine about. Like our coach used to say, “Get over it”. As your editor said, “Let’s move on”.
