Since it opened 64 years ago, it’s doubtful that Kilauea Theater has ever been a happier place than it will be tomorrow.
The theater’s owner is planning four free Christmas Day showings of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” the new Hollywood and Jim Carrey movie version of the classic Dr. Seuss tale. As many kids and their parents as the 250-seat theater will allow will be treated to an escape into movie magic.
Theater management decided the “Grinch” moral – to be generous and kind to others – is too good to leave on the screen and not extend to families that might not be able to afford to send their children to the show.
What a great gift.
