for Kaua’i Nursery, he was born Oct. 12, 1911, in the Philippines.
He is
survived by his wife: Teofista Ganal Balisacan of Lihu’e; two daughters:
Juliana (Felix) Ganiron and Marina (Tito) Gano, both of Lihu’e; one son: Pedro
(Caridad) Balisacan of Kapa’a; one brother: Juan (Esperanza) Balisacan of the
Philippines; one sister: Matilde Badua of the Philippines; five grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren, uncles and aunts, numerous nieces and nephews and
cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 22, at Borthwick/Kaua’i
Mortuary Chapel at 6 p.m. Services to be celebrated at 7 p.m. Visitation is
again scheduled on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 7 a.m.
Saturday morning where Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Burial to follow at
Lihu’e Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being
handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Oshita of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 16, 2000, at
the age of 90. Born in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i on Sept. 3, 1910, she is survived
by: three sons: Richard (Kay) Oshita of San Jose, Calif., Stanley (Aileen)
Oshita of Honolulu, O’ahu, and Andrew (Georgiana) Oshita of Honolulu, O’ahu;
two daughters: Grace (Tatsuo) Okimoto of Waianae, O’ahu and Leilani Oshita of
Kapa’a, Kaua’i; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one
niece.
Service were private. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island
Mortuary, Ltd.
