He is survived by his wife; Lillian Steinke
Hammond of Washington; One son; Terry (Terry) Hammond of Washington, one
daughter; Kathy (Bill) Sleasman of Oregon and 4 grandchildren. Services will be
held at a latter date. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua’i
Mortuary.

Clara Torres Bacio of Makaweli,
Kaua’i, died Dec. 20, 2000 at her home at the age of 85.
Born in Hilo,
Hawai’i on Dec. 15, 1915. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by five
sons; Peter (Gerry) Kinores of Oahu; Raymond Kinores of California; Walter
(Pauline) Bacio of England; Gary (Mel) Bacio of Koloa, Paul (Carmelita) Bacio
of Hilo and Pakala; four daughters: Lucille (Manuel) Ayala of Oahu; Margaret
Kinores of Oma’o; Joanne Quiocho of Oahu, Donna (Marcelino) Igaya of Wailua and
one niece Gloria Figaroa of ‘Ele’ele, 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren
and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation are scheduled for Saturday,
Jan. 6, 2001 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kekaha from 8:30 a.m. Mass to
be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Larry. Burial to follow at the Kaua’i
Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire and please no red colors.

Ingrid Richmodis Fuchs of Kapahi, Kaua’i, died Dec. 23,
2000 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.
Born in Germany on Feb.
5, 1914. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son Albert Marx of
Germany and caregiver: Linda Wong of Kapahi.
Visitation are scheduled for
Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel from 9 a.m.
Services to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at the Kaua’i Veterans
Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being

Sagisi of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 21, 2000, at
the age of 100.
Born in Baccara, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Oct. 25,
1900, he was a retired groundskeeper.
He is survived by: one son: Justo
(Evarita) Sagisi of Philippines; five daughters: Dominga Alcaraz of
Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, Celedonia Galiza of Philippines, Cresencia (Telesforo)
Acojido of Puhi, Kaua’i, Josephine (Peter) Gascon of Puhi, Kaua’i, Elisa
(Escolastico) Adaoag of Fort Washington, MD; 33 grandchildren; numerous
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Carmen Cadiente
of Waipahu, Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the
family at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel;
service officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10:30 a.m. Followed by burial
at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Frank Di
Capua
Frank Di Capua of Lihu’e, died while vacationing in Honolulu on Dec.
17, 2000, at the age of 49.
Formerly an unforgettable science teacher at
Waimea High School and substitute teacher at all the public high schools on
Kaua’i, he was a unique and brilliant educator/outreach worker at Malama
Pono.
He is survived by his father: Daniel Di Capua, mother: Filomena Di
Capua, sister: Terri Di Capua and many uncles, aunts, and cousins, all of New
York. He is also survived by his Pala Street family of Lihu’e, co-workers of
Malama Pono and large extended family on Kaua’i.
Visitation was on Tuesday,
Dec. 26, and burial on Wednesday, Dec. 27, in New York. A memorial by his
Kaua’i ohana will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30, at Lydgate Park from 6 p.m.
