Franklin Cano Jr. Frank Palani Cano Jr., of Kekaha, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 5, 2000, at the age of 60. Born in Hana, Maui on Jan. 12, 1940, he was a retired roofer with Victor’s Roofing.

He is
survived by: his wife of 41 years, Laurinda Leiaulani Cano of Kekaha, Kauai;
six children: Francine Leiaulani (Randy) Oligo of Kekaha, Frank Palani (Judy)
Cano III, and Franchot Kailiokekaiokalani (Pamai) Cano, both of Hanapepe,
Francisco Maunalani (Pomai) Cano of Kekaha, Francella Napua (Lloyd) Rita, of
Kalaheo, and Francford Kinonui (Lana) Cano, of Waimea; eight grandchildren:
Clesson “Kaliko” (Kalikominoakalani) Oligo, Randi Lee “Noe”
(Noelanionamaunaokanani) Oligo, Jade Lehua Cano, Bradley Kekua Cano, Thomas
Kekainalu Cano of Clementino, Savannah Makanaokealohalani Cano, Samuel
Maunalani Cano, Amanda Makauilani Rita.
He is also survived by his mother,
Annie Kuamoo Wright of Honolulu, HI; and his brothers and sisters: Rhoda
Anderson, Patricia Mceney, and Jeanette Loomis, all of Portland, Ore.,
Alexander Gaspar, Dolores Manuel and Donna Mae Gaspar, all of Honolulu, and
Reginald Cano, of Portland Oregon.
He is pre-deceased by two sisters:
Cinderella Davis and Myrna Kaulia.
He also leaves behind numerous aunts and
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for
Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. with memorial service officiated by Bill Driver and
talk starting at noon at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai.
Casual attire is
suggested and that flowers be omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden
Island Mortuary, Ltd.
